I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not the biggest fan of Valentine’s Day. While flowers and candy are all well and good, I just never got into it—single or not. This year, however, I have embraced it and am celebrating with a crafting binge.
I picked up this bright pink nylon thread from Home Depot not too long ago and was looking for the perfect way to use it. It was sturdy enough to crochet into a basket, so I made this little guy. It doesn’t show up as it should on camera, but I did add a scalloped edge to the top (how-to at the bottom), which gave it that Valentine’s Day flair I was after.
For my next Valentine’s Day-themed craft, I wanted to make a crochet heart. I didn’t know where to begin, so I started by watching a tutorial (linked below). Once I got into the swing of crocheting hearts I couldn’t stop myself. The result was this heart garland.
